Holiness & Love Part 1 | 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12
Переглядів 25714 годин тому
Introduction: Prayer and teaching. Teaching and prayer. This is what the Lord has ordained for the growth of His people, and this is what is on display in Paul’s letter. He has written a prayer on behalf of the Thessalonians (3:11-13). He prays for their growth in love (vs.12), and for them to be established in holiness (vs.13). Now, in chapter 4, he follows that prayer with exhortation and tea...

Introduction: The pastor’s heart is on display by concern for the church, by carefulness when it comes to the entrustment of ministry, by a mature understanding of the needs of God’s people, a mature understanding of the dangers they face, and by a consuming interest in their spiritual wellbeing. BUT NOW WE ARE REMINDED THAT IF THAT PASTORAL LOVE TRULY EXISTS, IT WILL ALWAYS BE EXPRESSED IN A P...

    Next step: Reach forward - make every effort and stretch out to the max - step closer to the goal to be more like Christ. Supreme goal: the prize at the end of the race- not coasting - narrowing our focus - the prize CHRIST HIMSELF.

    Here is some more from Calvin on the extent of the Death of Jesus Christ John 3:16 “That whosoever believeth on him may not perish. It is a remarkable commendation of faith, that it frees us from everlasting destruction. For he intended expressly to state that, though we appear to have been born to death, undoubted deliverance is offered to us by the faith of Christ; and, therefore, that we ought not to fear death, which otherwise hangs over us. And he has employed the universal term whosoever, both to invite all indiscriminately to partake of life, and to cut off every excuse from unbelievers. Such is also the import of the term World, which he formerly used; for though nothing will be found in the world that is worthy of the favor of God, yet he shows himself to be reconciled to the whole world, when he invites all men without exception to the faith of Christ, which is nothing else than an entrance into life” John 1:29 “Who taketh away the sin of the world. He uses the word sin in the singular number, for any kind of iniquity; as if he had said, that every kind of unrighteousness which alienates men from God is taken away by Christ. And when he says, the sin Of The World, he extends this favor indiscriminately to the whole human race; that the Jews might not think that he had been sent to them alone. But hence we infer that the whole world is involved in the same condemnation; and that as all men without exception are guilty of unrighteousness before God, they need to be reconciled to him. John the Baptist, therefore, by speaking generally of the sin of the world, intended to impress upon us the conviction of our own misery, and to exhort us to seek the remedy. Now our duty is, to embrace the benefit which is offered to all, that each of us may be convinced that there is nothing to hinder him from obtaining reconciliation in Christ, provided that he comes to him by the guidance of faith.” Romans 5:18 “He makes this favor common to all, because it is propounded to all, and not because it is in reality extended to all; for though Christ suffered for the sins of the whole world, and is offered through God's benignity indiscriminately to all, yet all do not receive him” VERY CLEAR that John Calvin believed that Jesus Christ Died for ALL MEN WITHOUT EXCEPTION, which is the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!

    Islam is the same as Christianity. Follow one god, the father, believe in all the prophets, do not worship Jesus as god. Jesus never said worship me. Jesus went on his face on the ground and prayed, just like Muslims do.

    • @aem24012
      @aem24012 7 днів тому

      Just cos Jesus prayed with his face on the ground, doesn't mean we should see why he did that and who he was actually praying to. He was praying to the Father (not Allah) and this was probably the time when it was just before the crucifixion, when he said "not my will but yours be done" cos he was worried and scared.

      Are you capable of reading what I write and the Scripture I quote? God said let all the angels worship Jesus. Jesus Is God. -Jesus claimed to be the "I Am", "Ego Eimi", YHWH, 7 times. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple. -God declaring Jesus Is God. Hebrews 1:6 And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.” 7 And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministers flaming fire.” 8 But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.” 10 And, “You, Lord, in the beginning founded the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they all will wear out like a garment, 12 And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.” 13 But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies As a footstool for Your feet”? -And again. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. -New Testament passages which directly quote the Old Testament interchange Jesus with God's name, YHWH, written as LORD or other words in many English translations. This is a reference and quote of Isaiah 6. Whose glory is John speaking of here? John 12:37 But though He had done so many signs before them, they still were not believing in Him, 38 so that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” 39 For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 40 “He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and return and I heal them.” 41 These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke about Him. Acts 2:17-21 is a direct quote of Joel 2:28-32, and Romans 10:13 again quotes from Joel 2:32 -- Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him, 13 for “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Joel 2:32 And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh Will be delivered Philippians 2:10-11 and Romans 14:11 are direct quotes of Isaiah 45:23 Romans 14:11 For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, to Me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God.” Philippians 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. - Isaiah 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Jesus accepted worship - John 20:28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are those who did not see, and yet believed.” Jesus is referred to as God directly by the writer - 2 Peter 1:1 Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received the same kind of faith as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ The triunity of God is clearly shown in Romans 8:9-11 if you pay attention to the nouns, and more so if you know other passages that show "God raised Him from the dead" - 9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

    Our goal is not to obtain favor from this country!!! The purpose of the Church is to go out and make disciples of Jesus Christ, for the Church to reflect Jesus-to live holy lives but the Church’s today preach a”feel good only “gospel, a watered down gospel. God says he will heal our land if HIS people ( true born again believers ), would repent and turn from our evil ways….again, not to obtain favor from our country but to seek to obtain favor from God !!! We ARE NOT to be people pleasers!!! We all will stand before the Holy God of the Bible one day and give an account of who is on the throne of our hearts.

    I didn’t know it would be like this… long as I get my crown 👑 that doesn’t parish with eternal life. I will fight the good fight to have an inheritance for my bloodlines. I have one friends or family anymore… I can’t be around fake believers or on the path of ppl who get drunk and sin through the night. I don’t do anything in the night anymore. I shake the dust off my feet, I have no input to gossip or condemn others so I have nothing to at to those crowds of family or friends. Thank you!

    This is timely…. I was sent to work at a nursing home… where all matter of suffering, corruption was taking place. Worse case scenario… When I spoke of a nurse unsafe practices they came against me, she ended up being an “Operation Nightingale nurse” fake license, not a real nurse. Then the CNA was allowed to abuse the resident physically and he culture was to do it verbally at times A resident reported abuse to me, when I reported it to the administration they verbally attacked me and set a plan to get me to quit They set traps that were so they obvious A resident was declining with congestive heart failure and usually the fluid fill their lungs (drowning) and can cause severe suffering… so I told the family to consider hospice and they told me the administration told them don’t do it and lied that hospice would stop antibiotics… that was preventing pneumonia… I told the family that was not true… they went to the administration and found a hospice company and the resident was a believer and she was so happy to be able to transition in peace, she was so happy that she passed in 2 days. The most peaceful death I’ve ever seen. They came after me because each day a person is on hospice the facility loses money to the hospice companies. They didn’t want to send ppl out to the hospital for the same reason. A resident had a fall on my off days and I came back and he was in extreme pain, they gave him a lidocaine patch and some mild pain killers… after that he asked me to go to the hospital because it wasn’t enough. I called administration, told them he requested to go to the emergency room, they agreed and I sent him out to the hospital When he left the monitoring spirits were trying to trap me, asking for pills for a headache… which would cost me my nursing license- to illegally treat coworkers. I refused. A fake believer sparked a a conversation. I asked her what was Jesus first words when he began his ministry? She didn’t know and asked a supervisor as he was passing. He snuck in the break room to look it up and came out and said “Repent, the kingdom is at hand” God let me know that after all that had taken place over 4 months that it was coming to an end and to be very careful and very aware. The resident came back at 9:50pm with report of a fractured rib. The next day they suspended me. Says I should have called them about the fracture that had to be reported. I said “okay, and hung up” I was happy it was finally over, I was waiting on God. But when he used my mouth to make one of the demons say “Repent, the Kingdom is at hand” Those ended up being the famous last words to seal the deal. Now, I’m unemployed again, happy and at peace awaiting my next assignment. I don’t want I but I’m fully surrendered and praying for more workers in the fields!!! The corruption in the medical profession is at an all time high. Thank you for the video! 🎚️❤️🕊️

    The problem with protestant communities is that abolishing the tripartite order of Bishops, priests, and deacons has left them without altar, sacrifice, and the fear of God (awe). If you want an apostolic Church, then go to the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church Jesus founded (Mt 16,18). A convert from Pentecostalism to the original Church 📿🙏
